If disaster strikes, how organised are you with your important documents? It doesn't take much time but if you've got just a few photo copies of insurance papers, birth certificates, bank account details and other bits and pieces ready to go in a waterproof document holder, you could save a whole bunch of time and effort down the track. What if an afternoon thunderstorm ripped part of your roof off or a cyclone approaches and all your documents in the filing cabinet were ruined? What if there was a house or bushfire and during fire fighting efforts your documents were ruined?Any number of scenarios could play out but one thing is for sure, if you're prepared beforehand you are going to reduce stress and chaos after the disaster strikes.
